WHO'S ON FIRST?

"Project Management With a Whole Brain Approach™"

Workshop Outline
...

OVERVIEW

Project management is truly a left-brain activity! Facts, figures, due dates, task lists are all completed in the left side of our brain. And most project management workshops focus on these left-brain activities.

However, to be successful in managing projects, you need to develop excellent skills in right brain activities as well. Building teams, inspiring people, motivating groups to excel are all right brain activities. According to a recent study 80% of all projects fail due to "right brain" problems: people problems!

This workshop provides learning experiences, exercises and activities that will help you to build skills in all areas to successfully manage and complete projects.

PURPOSE

The purpose of the full day workshop is to help you to become more effective in managing and completing your projects on time and with the least amount of stress by utilizing your left-brain and right brain skills.

PROCESS

As a participant, you will learn the three major tools of project management and how these tools can help you to design, develop and complete any project that has been assigned to you and those projects you initiate. You will also learn that project management is more than numbers, charts and activities. Project management is also about people. Since it is people who actually complete projects, you will learn the five different styles or roles that must be on your project team if is to be successful. Using the C.A.R.E. profile, you will discover your own project management role and the roles of those on your project team. Once you know these, it is easier to make assignments to project team members with confidence and the assurance that your project has the highest score for success.
